Editor, StellarHabit Blog

Owen Kessler edits the StellarHabit blog. He was diagnosed with ADHD in his early twenties, which explained a pattern he already knew well: a new habit tracker every January, a perfect first week, and an app quietly deleted by the third.

That pattern is why he distrusts most habit advice. A method that only works for people who never lose interest is not much of a method, so before anything goes on this blog he goes back to the paper it came from and checks what was actually measured, on whom, and for how long. Every figure here links to its source.

He is especially interested in what survives a bad week: consistency scores instead of streaks, small groups of people who notice, and habits anchored to things that already happen every day.

He is not a doctor or a psychologist, and nothing on this blog is medical advice. If ADHD is affecting your daily life, a qualified clinician is the right person to talk to.
